I’m a backend Java developer with 5 years of experience building and maintaining Spring Boot microservices. I have experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, AWS infrastructure, and a range of code quality and security tools and practices.

For my next role, I’m looking for remote work or strong flexibility, market-rate compensation, and a collaborative team working on a meaningful product. I’d like to continue growing as a backend engineer while expanding into areas such as full-stack development, DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure.

I’m particularly interested in climate tech and sustainability, but I’m open to other industries and missions as well. I’m especially interested in established companies or well-structured teams that value thoughtful engineering, professional growth, and meaningful ownership.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota in May of 2021 with a Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering. I realized my passion for programming while writing MATLAB code to model pollutant degradation in hydrologic systems.

After graduation, I enrolled in Genesis 10's Dev 10 Java developer bootcamp, where I learned to build containerized full-stack applications that run on AWS cloud infrastructure.

I'm presently a backend Java dev with 3 years of experience working on Spring Web Flux microservices and AWS cloud infrastructure in the financial services industry.

My current role has provided invaluable experience in navigating and contributing to established codebases, fostering a deep understanding of legacy systems and their maintenance. I've honed my collaborative skills by working closely with diverse tech teams, from initial problem identification through user feedback, to collaborating with architects to design and implement solutions that spanned multiple departments. This process involved not only technical development but also clear communication and thorough documentation. Additionally, I've taken on the responsibility of training new staff, ensuring they are equipped to contribute effectively, and I consistently address user issues, demonstrating my ability to handle technical communication and provide comprehensive support.
