American right wing propaganda loves to describe anybody who opposes them as "far left", but Democrats are a barely-left-of-center party. To such a degree that the actual left calls them indistinguishable from the right, and refuses to vote for them.

DEI is a huge cultural shift everywhere from companies to higher education. I don't think the far left is marginalized at all. They have also gained sizable influence over the democrats.
Sort of like how you can be a vegan without verifying that no animal ever died and decomposed and got uptaken by the root system of whatever plant you end up eating.
This movement came from consequentialism instead of deontology.
The goal is to avoid inflicting unnecessary suffering to other animals. Eating a bug while breathing or from a plant nutrients source is a nanominimal problem in that regard.
Wake me up when there's a similarly outraged article by a woman about the much earlier trend of a woman secretly recording men in the gym who notice her attractiveness, and are then publicly shamed and mocked for noticing by uploading the video. Where's the accountability for that? Both groups should stop, but I'd also like to see some equality of coverage and outrage.

Abstract
This outline provides pincite references for research supporting appropriate disciplinary spanking, in contrast to the predominantly correlational evidence used to oppose all spanking by the APA and AAP. Two major publications in the past year showed that (1) the correlational evidence against customary spanking becomes trivial after adjusting for pre-existing child differences. Moreover, that trivial evidence can be either harmful or beneficial on average, depending upon the statistical method used to adjust for pre-existing differences. (2) The second recent publication shows that the evidence against customary spanking is identical to the apparent effects of most corrective actions when analyzed in the same way (e.g., longitudinal analyses controlling statistically for initial differences in the outcome). This is true whether the corrective actions are by parents (e.g., other disciplinary responses) or professionals (treatments for depression in women). The outline summarizes other meta-analyses ignored in scientific summaries used to oppose all spanking and evidence that back-up spanking and phased-out spanking result in better outcomes compared to never-spanked children.
I think in certain circumstances they are more than pets. Symbiotic pack animals. They guard, help hunt, pull a sled over the ice, and help fight. Some other animals may meet similar qualifications, like a horse. They can also communicate, just not extensively or symbolically.
Sure, but that is literally the opposite of the Christian teaching. The previous chapter, 1 Corinthians 6, reads: "You are not your own. You were bought at a price. Glorify God with your body."
Elsewhere it is written: "Present yourselves as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable until God, which is your reasonable act of worship."
These are voluntary acts of obedience in the same way that Jesus, though being in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but humbled himself, taking on the form of a servant, and being obedient even to death on a cross. (Philippians 2).
To be a Christian is to take up your cross and follow Christ. Consenting to a lack of consent in how your body is treated hence forward. A martyr's painful death. Or the embrace of your spouse.
