Hey man, how’s the Poke SOC2 audit going? Must be any day now that it’ll be finished, right?

Alaska’s land is pretty rugged and hard to build on. It would be interesting to hear from someone who works in the industry why the Northern Interior states like Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota have fewer data center buildouts than Texas though.

As someone who deployed twice, I don't really get why it exists.

Watched the video and one of the main set of wheels was off the ground a good amount time. Applying brakes then would have gone bad, they would have skidded sideways. They also landed almost flat, front wheel touched the ground almost the same time as one of the back set of wheels, that just looked ... bad.

This post inspired me to go through my box of cables and I actually found a full HTC Vive headset with controllers in there buried several layers deep that I had completely forgotten about. I think it ended up there because it came with about a dozen cables so the cable box seemed like the natural place to dump it all.

Now I need to go through that box in detail to see what else might be lurking.

If you are in a community that has any Meta glasses im pretty sure you have many other problems that should probably signal to youself its time to move on.

From OpenAI's point of view, the risks are not comparable at all:

1) Extreme edge case affecting a handful of users, vs millions of users using the data sharing opt out.

2) The deaths are unintentional.

3) They probably won't lose any users over this.

4) They will likely win the lawsuits. Even if they lose or settle, the financial impact will be immaterial.

> Because it takes time.

That's an excuse, not the reason.

IntelliJ RustRover has been around for years.

Similarly, VS Code has had Rust plugins written by the community in their spare time years ago.

They don't use a third of a meter because, like you said, you can just use some number of mm or cm that is divisible by 3. We don't use decimal inches because fractions are easy too.

It's really depressing that I have gotten into music composition right when this is happening.

All of these projects are basically just destroying entire fields of human creativity.

It doesn't seem so bad at first when the quality is mediocre, but as soon as they get good, then any human composition will be completely devalued, despite the enormous amount of knowledge, skill and effort that goes into producing one.

A composer who writes a piece of music themselves, instead of being recognised and admired basically becomes the equivalent of someone who bakes their own sourdough instead of going to the supermarket: a curiosity, someone who does things the hard way for their own amusement.

Graphic artists and bloggers were the first to suffer this, but it feels like it's just going to happen to basically every type of creative expression that can be represented digitally. It's just a question of how many months until that happens.

I’m not a fan of OAI to say the least, but having worked at similar companies, my guess is that it’s just too difficult to prove/disprove beyond a doubt, and they have other priorities

battery life is significantly better on the 13 mini

They’re using Electron to write proofs now?

Why have a feature that lets you get what you want?

are you kidding

Raymond’s selectRandomFromIterator algorithm requires iterating over all the files. It seems like querying the file system for the number of files in a directory should be an O(1) operation. Then you just select random number N between [1, number of files] and iterate to the Nth file.

Why does Raymond assume counting the files is an O(n) operation?

模拟测试把语音 agent 的回归从“人工反复打电话”变成可重复的基础设施,这个方向很实用。实际落地时,你们更看重哪些生产指标来触发回放或新增场景:转写错误、工具调用失败,还是业务结果偏差?

Maybe I'm slow , but how is that relevant to the point? Can you expand? Am I understand is that defense is important because sooner or later someone else may choose aggression.

You might put your life savings on the street in front of your house for a day or two without someone stealing it, but sooner or later someone unscrupulous is likely to come along based on the evidence we have

The real "world's best websites" are ones that can display their static content performantly and responsively without JS, while correctly conforming to baseline.

"2026 Military Influencer Conference" influencer culture has gotten really out of hand

The five eyes have four other eyes. But, from where I'm sitting the primary eye has only gotten stronger in the last 2 years. See some work we did in late 00's to early 2010's called Nexus 7 and extrapolate to modern capabilities.

So the two variants they offer is the Max-Q and the Server edition one, but only explicitly mentioned for one?

Because it's really common here. This week it's in the 90s, which is very hot. The temperature changes day to day, so how do you give the approximate temperature for the week?

Why would a Christian be trying to stop the Antichrist? Sounds like the faithful have nothing to lose.

Wait is this a harness? Can I use it to replace Codex? All I see is just the benchmark page, where's the project page?

Interesting stance. Out of curiousity, where did you do your doctoral research in AI or cognitive science? Where have you published your rebuttals to the overwhelming consensus?

that's a weird thing to say

Doing so would require the app to have the business logic written in JavaScript. Apple only allows JIT’ing JavaScript using JSC.

You get into vintage computer collecting and regret all things that you tossed...

one box of cables?

those are rookie numbers
